Project Title : Multicultural psychological counselling services in the context of Psychosocial Aspects of Migration
Project Number: 2023-1-NL02-KA153-YOU-000131065
Grant Amount :59.796 EURO

It is known that factors such as language barriers, social cohesion and educational barriers are effective after migration. Mental health problems arise in refugees after the stress experienced in the context of these factors. There is a need to provide information to youth workers about multicultural psychological counselling services about the psychosocial problems experienced by individuals in the process of adapting to cultural differences in the new society in the post-migration period. Therefore, PAM is a learning activity designed for the professional development of youth workers and capacity building of partners. Through this project non-formal and informal learning skills will be developed for the educational and professional development of youth workers. Furthermore, PAM will contribute to the development of their organisations and systems.

The objectives of PAM are:

i) Providing a guiding map for the professional development of youth workers.

ii) Ensure healthy integration of refugees into the target culture through multicultural counselling training for youth workers.

iii) To minimise the mental health problems of refugees through multicultural counselling training for youth workers.

iv) To inform youth workers about the services to be provided in the process of adaptation to cultural differences.
